Hi!  I am Shauna Roshone Day and I'm currently a 5th grade teacher at Todd County Elementary School.  I am wrapping up my last year here before I move to a different district.  I'm excited to read Walker's advice on how to teach like Finland!!

Describing Linear Relationships

From 1.4 C,
How can you determine if a relationship is linear from graph, table, or an equation?

Integers v. Rational numbers

What is the difference between integers and rational numbers?  Use examples to justify your answer.

Integer Subtraction Algorithm

Post your algorithm(s) from 2.2 on subtraction of integers.  Include one for how to solve when both numbers have the same sign and one for how to solve when both numbers have different signs.

Integer Addition Algorithm

Post the algorithm you wrote for addition of integers.

Comparing and Ordering Negative and Positive Numbers

7th graders your post for Tuesday, Feb. 14th, 2012 is question E2 from the CMP Accentuate the Negative problem 1.2:  How does a number line help you to find the smaller value of two numbers?  For example 3 or -7.
